If you’re looking:
For a wine maker, visit Michel Quenioux
, they produce, organically, Cheverny wine in red, rosé and white and are good friends of mine ; I also sell some of their wine on the premices. Or else, at Philippe Tessier
‘s, who also produces organic Cheverny wines.
For a restaurant with nice and original food, nice setting and warm welcome, try the Auberge du Centre
in Chitenay ; or, for one with a hightly refined and originally presented cuisine, try the La Vieille Tour
in Cellettes. And a new one getting everyday more popular, Chez Madeleine
; nice and good value !
If you want to get some extremely good local goat cheese, go to the Vival shop in Cour-Cheverny; the manager really knows how to buy cheese !.
For horse riding, go to the Colinière’s stables
, managed by Valérie Beaugilet; she’ll know what will suit you !
If you like roses, go and visit the Rose garden of Cormeray
; open every weekends of May and June, and later if you book in advance.
